I recently had VFSRAC at Yeson voice centre and the overall experience was very smooth and pleasant. I am just few days post-op so I can’t really talk about the surgery outcomes yet. The journey through the surgery was really well organised thanks to Kay who has been accompanying me through all the steps from pre op voice checks, surgery day and finally post op surgery reviews and speech exercises introduction which will need to be done after the required 2 months silence period. I was pleased by the attention to detail and professionalism of De Kim during each of the steps, his explanations were very clear, precise and practical so I could get that confidence I needed to be well prepared for the recovery period and all the little things tou need to pay attention to during your daily life to ensure smooth recovery. The surgery itself was quick and I was released by 4pm where I was then able to go back to my hotel to take some rest (with a cute skincare travel kit to give me some comfort!). The first night post op was a little stressful as I was consistently so worried to make any noise or strong cough which could affect surgery area but finally was able to fall asleep until next day for the final check. Next day, my worries went away after Dr Kim reviewed surgery area and confirmed things were looking good. Pfiiiou!! But he also gently reminded me that it’s only the beginning of the journey and I will need to keep silent for the next 2 months to ensure best results. In summary, I was really pleased by the experience thanks to the professionalism of Dr Kim, the very good care with such a happy mood provided by Kay during the while journey and the fact that she was able to answer any of my questions helped a lot to reduce the anxiety and made the whole journey really smooth!! Also, the centre is located in a very peaceful neighbourhood which also helps to make the journey easier, especially when you have to go from hotel to Yeson each day. Thanks and let’s now wait for the first results in 3 months!! ;)

I came from Canada for VFSRAC surgery at Yeson. The price was amazing and they were able to squeeze me in at very short notice. I went to Yeson because they are the world leaders in VFS surgery; their technique is well known worldwide. I was going to get a similar procedure done in my own country but the wait list was too long and government funding was seeming less and less likely, so I decided to just go for it and follow my dreams at Yeson. I’m glad I did. Kay, their international patient ambassador, was so sweet, kind, and professional. She made the entire experience easy from the very first contact via e-mail right on through to being with me on the day of my arrival, the day of my surgery, and at my follow up. The entire staff was nothing short of professional and they are all clearly THE experts worldwide in their field. I am SO glad I made the choice to go to Yeson. I really cannot say enough positive things about them. Their facilities are high-end, clean, futuristic, and beautiful. They cultivate a feeling of wellness and peace, which facilitates healing. If you want to go to the best clinic in the entire world for this kind of surgery, this is the one. I did my research over the course of ten years, and went to two other clinics for pre-operative consultations. Yeson is the leader, period.

I had an amazing experience with Yeson Voice Center. From the very beginning, the staff were incredibly professional, kind, and attentive especially Ms. Kay. She’s very caring and thoughtful to me. She always explaining very well whatever guidelines I have to do after the surgery. She’s really good in English so you don’t have to worry understanding them she’ll translate it for you. They made me feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the entire process. Dr. Kim and the whole team showed exceptional expertise and care. They took the time to explain everything clearly and answered all my concerns, which really helped ease my anxiety. I went to a different hospital and backed-out since I’m not happy with the sample results they showed me. I’m so thankful I stumbled in this clinic. The level of precision and dedication they have for voice surgery is truly impressive. The post-operative care was also outstanding. They guided me carefully through recovery and were always responsive whenever I had questions. I felt genuinely supported every step of the way. I’m very happy with my experience with them, and I’m so excited with the results after 2 months of not talking. I highly recommend Yeson Voice Center to anyone considering voice feminization surgery—they are truly among the best in their field.

I am about 1 week post operatively recuperating from my VFSRAC procedure by Dr Kim at Yeson Voice Centre. I found the process to be very intriguing and I have no doubt I was in the care of world leading experts during my stay. I am hoping for a positive outcome following my surgery and I hope I can update this review to confirm that I’ve achieved what I was aiming with my voice. This review covers the initial pre operative care, surgery and wake up recovery aspects as well as the coordination aspect. I was given a consultation where I was guided to produce common phonetics for the purposes of endoscopic assessment, talked clearly through the procedure by Dr Kim and instructed to rest and avoid straining my voice. That same day I underwent a chest X-Ray, ECG, and blood test. the next morning I arrived, was shown to my very clean and well laid out room, given a gown and provided with some skincare essentials. I was then given an IV, brought to the operating room and sedated. I woke being attended to, and waited for my first glorious sip of water. ( A note that on night 1 you will be sent home with soup, if your hotel doesn’t have a microwave you can find the same brand of soup delivered hot on Coupang eats for not much money. ) The next day I had an assessment and Botox treatment before being given a medical regimen, voice training exercises via USB as well as practical demonstration. Finally I was discharged. The process was quick, and one week later any pain has dissipated and I am now practicing my vow of silence. This is by far the hardest part but I am committed to seeing it through. A special mention to Kay Kim who is the coordinator for your interactions with the voice center for the entire time you are there. She was super friendly, supportive and punctual with any information you might need. She helped especially as I was a solo traveller with a fear of needles to calm me down, make me feel safe and welcomed and gave me a friendly goodbye as I left the clinic. I think the centre should be proud to have her as their patient facing coordinator.

Kay Kim the coordinator answered all the questions I asked (too many) and was very patient. Dr. Kim explained everything in great detail and helped me with some unique issues I had with vocal tremor. I don’t know what to say. I had voices surgery in Yeson in 2016. Nearly 10 years has pasted. I am not very happy about my voice improvement. The recovering is not something you would say it’s fun. The results didn’t met the expectations. Dr Kim tightened my lower back of the vocal cords, I had 3 or 4 Botox injections and I followed the no speaking instructions period. The results is not very optimistic. My voice still sounds masculine. I understand that you have to do a lot of training and practice to achieve the feminine qualities of voice. For me, I did put much effort as I can, still, I don’t think my voice has improved much. I was let down by the outcome. The staff are pretty nice because they charge an astonishing amount for the surgery. I ask people to do more research, they have a good marketing skill, but the outcome could be unnoticeable. Be wise to spend your money.

I had vocal surgery done with Yeson in January of 2020 during the height of the Covid pandemic restrictions. They did a phenomenal job of guiding me through the process even with the extra Covid precautions upon entering Korea. Jessie was very helpful throughout the process and communicated everything to me both on the phone and in person when I arrived. She’s super friendly and a great representative of Yeson. It’s almost 3 1/2 years post op and I’m extremely happy with the results! Not speaking for about 2 months post op was difficult as well as trying my hardest not to cough or sneeze during the 1st month but I managed with the help of meds they gave me. I get gendered female 100% of the time both over the phone and in person now! Vocal training is still somewhat needed to help adjust but they game me instruction to follow and showed me in person how to do them before I left. I was a bit nervous at first as I couldn’t tell there was a difference right away but Dr. Kim had said it takes time as the vocal chords heal and I learn to adjust to them post surgery. He was right and as time went on my pitch, intonation, and overall voice continued to improve. The only drawback I’d say is a minimal amount of volume loss but it’s not terrible or too much at all and it’s so worth it! Once I got used to speaking with my new voice, I no longer need to put effort into it now to sound more feminine, it just works. I would 100% recommend Yeson to anyone needing vocal surgery of any kind, but especially trans women looking to improve their voice in a permanent way. Thanks so much to Yeson, Jessie, and Dr. Kim. My VFS was unsuccessful, no female voice, my voice is hoarse and sounds sick. But I knew the risk. I was too old.

Very clean, Jessie speaks great English, as does Dr Kim. Everything was explained in depth and shown so there was no mystery to the procedure. Only 3 weeks post op, so I can't comment on the result, but great experience so far.
