​Stay Duration: 6 nights Pros: The rooms were decently nice, but that’s where the compliments end. ​If you enjoy being nickel-and-dimed by a supposedly premium hotel, then Oakwood Premier Coex is the place for you. For anyone else? Avoid this place. ​The "Premium" Room Disappointment ​While the rooms look nice at first glance, they are incredibly under-appointed for a hotel of this caliber. They provide the absolute bare minimum to get by. During a week-long stay, the frustrations really started to pile up: ​No USB chargers anywhere in the room (in 2026, this is ridiculous). ​No bathroom scales. ​No milk provided with the complimentary tea and coffee. ​The 32 AUD Milk Scandal ​The absolute kicker happened at checkout. Because the room lacked basic milk for the tea and coffee they provided, we called front desk and asked them to bring some up. We assumed this was standard hospitality. ​It wasn't. ​At the end of our holiday, we checked the final bill and discovered we were charged 32,000KRW (roughly 32 Australian Dollars) just for the milk they brought up. Charging over $30 AUD for a splash of milk across a seven-night stay is an absolute, daylight-robbery rip-off. It’s not about the money; it’s the sheer principle of petty greed. ​Final Verdict ​The lack of basic room features like USB ports and scales was annoying, but the petty hidden fees left a truly awful taste in our mouths. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else that actually understands the concept of hospitality. I would not recommend staying here.

I stayed at this hotel for a week for a conference. The room was very spacious, with a separate bedroom, living room and small kitchen area. I was a bit surprised by the public areas though. The carpet in the hall was well worn and showing its age, and while the room had good AC, the hallway had none. The front desk staff was friendly and professional, but the restaurant staff had a tendency to vacate the dining room during breakfast. All in all, a solid 4/5.

The perfect finish to my Korea trip. Quiet luxury which is becoming hard to find in 5*s. Service, kindness of staff, privacy and an unexpected room upgrade with great view. Location is prime too. Will be my first choice if I'm ever back to Seoul.

One of my preferred hotels in Seoul for its accessibility and convenience especially when commitments are centred in Gangnam. Stayed multiple times and across different one bedroom as well as two bedroom configurations. Condition of the rooms range. Some have more weary furnishing that really needs updating or replacement and others are ok. It will be perfect if they can provide similar good conditions for all rooms. Staff are amicable. Housekeeping so far responsive even when issues arise. It will be perfect if firmer bedding is used as many seem to sink in the middle.

Had an excellent four night stay. Cindy, one of the staff members, was very friendly when checking us in and serving us traditional tea, which really helped us kick off with a good start. I loved the extra space we had in our room (and the washing machine!). Honestly 10/10 would stay again for a longer stay in Seoul. It’s just so comfy to have a more apartment like accommodation with the convenience of 5 star hotel amenities. Despite Gangnam being somewhat far from major hot spots on the north side of the river, there are PLENTY of things to do and places to eat around the area and the mall attached. Also the metro was pretty easy to get to through the mall or above ground.

It was our one of the best hotel experience. It was the most silent hotel room that we stayed. We slept so well.. The room was so comfy and location is very good. Highly recommended..

I stayed at Oakwood in Seoul and overall the stay was fine until the last night, which completely ruined the experience. Very late at night, a drunk guest aggressively knocked on my door multiple times and terrified me. I was unable to sleep properly for hours and ended up missing the breakfast I had already paid for. What disappointed me the most was not only the incident itself, but how poorly it was handled afterward. I did not feel safe, comfortable, or properly supported as a guest. The compensation offered did not genuinely make up for the stress, lack of sleep, and disruption caused. They later offered lunch, but the available options were not suitable for me. For a hotel that presents itself as high quality, I expected much better guest safety, professionalism, and customer care. Unfortunately, the way this situation was managed left me extremely disappointed.

Our stay was extremely family-friendly, and bringing our two kids along was a great decision. Everything we needed was conveniently located within the building. Whenever we were hungry, we simply went downstairs—there’s a 24-hour convenience store in the basement, a pharmacy inside the mall, and even a Haidilao restaurant open until 4 AM. One of the highlights was the large aquarium inside the mall, which the kids absolutely loved. The reception staff were also very helpful and could arrange a taxi at any time, even at 5 AM for our airport transfer. During our stay, I was able to attend a golf session at a nearby academy, just a comfortable 10-minute indoor walk to J_On Golf Club, where I had a quick swing fix with a coach from the KPGA—definitely a 5-star experience. Meanwhile, my wife could comfortably rest and recover in the hotel after her double eyelid procedure. Overall, it was an incredibly convenient and enjoyable stay for the whole family. Highly recommended, especially for families and anyone planning activities, medical visits, or golf training nearby.

Great home away from home in Seoul. We are here for 2 weeks and staying at 2 bedroom, 2 bath, with large living area and kitchen. Very comfortable for 4 people. The hotel staff have been great as well. Because we are not local, it is very hard to order online for anything, but front desk staff help us order things online, including order food delivery. Also, location is perfect. There is huge Coex mall and Hyundai mall with so many restaurant and shopping to chose from. Wonderful stay so far.

the location is in a strategic spot near the city, the bed is comfy and the views are amazing, the room is clean and also spacious, there is a front office staff named Leo in this hotel he is very helpful and nice👍

Oakwood Premier Coex Centre is a beautiful and well located service apartment. We were served by Rosie at check in. She was very friendly and helpful, our check in was smooth and very efficient. She was also very forthcoming with recommendations for restaurants nearby. The room was very spacious & well appointed. This will be our first choice for accomadation in Seoul.

The room is really gigantic and quite nice. Having all that space and a laundry machine was really good to have on a longer trip. The front desk staff, restaurant staff and bellmen were kind, professional and courteous. I stayed here a few years ago and I felt the staff improved a lot - both in quantity and quality. We never had to wait for anything. The location is perfect if you need to be in Gangnam. You are attached to a large mall and two subway stations. The bus terminal and a shinsegae are a few stops away. I wouldn't say it is an ideal base for a more traditional Seoul trip but we planned to stay in two different hotels on this trip to enjoy two different areas. I think this hotel often caters to long-term stays so the special feeling of a 5 star hotel isn't really present, but that isa minor thing. Just don't think this is an Aman or something. I would say the breakfast, while not that expensive fora buffet, was quite small. However, you do get a 20 percent discount if you stay there and I left satisfied. Anyway, really nice hotel worth the price. I think if you want to be in Gangnam, like shopping, and/or have a family, this hotel is ideal. Wonderful staff and rooms. Thank you!
